The gallery on Herring Island and its associated courtyard is a converted scout hall. Art exhibitions have been run in the gallery every summer during daylight savings time for a number of years. Unfortunately that summer arts program ceased and the director moved on. This summer the Association of Sculptors of Victoria is running an exhibition at short notice with the support of Parks Victoria. We hope that this will be a pilot for an ongoing relationship to continue exhibitions in future summers.

The exhibition will run from Friday 20th February to Monday 8th March (Labour Day). The gallery will be open and the punt from Como Landing will operate on Fridays from 3 to 7pm and on weekends and Labour Day from 12 noon to 5pm.

The exhibition comprises approximately 40 small to medium scale sculptures by members of the Association. Most of the work is for sale. The exhibiting sculptors will be sitting the exhibition on a roster basis and will be available to talk to visitors. School and other groups wishing to visit earlier on a Friday afternoon should contact Jenny Rickards on (03) 9882 6900 to make arrangements for access.

The punt from Como Landing (Melway 2M C3) will operate at all hours that the gallery is open. The punt costs $2 per adult.
